Working at Cow & Gate I’m happy to speak to mums and mums-to-be about any question they call in with. As a paediatric nurse I also specialise in advising about any health issues their baby may be experiencing, from eczema to colic, helping mums and their babies stay happy and healthy.

My top tips

• If you’re baby’s not well, offer fluids little and often, rather than all in one go. Their usual amount may be too much. Once they are better they will return to their previous eating routine.
• You know if your baby’s not right, so get them checked. If you’re not happy with the advice or information you’re given, keep going back until you get something you are happy with.
• Trust your instincts and go with the flow – you know your baby better than anyone!

About me

I used to love seeing and feeling my baby moving. It was the best feeling, lying on the couch and watching my tummy move. It created a special bond before I had even met my baby. 

As a paediatric nurse I enjoy talking to mums and mums-to-be about health issues. I feel especially proud when mums who start a conversation with the words ‘I feel stupid asking this” finish it by saying “you’ve really put my mind at rest.”
