As a Cow & Gate baby care advisor, it’s important to offer a caring approach. What’s reassuring to many people is when I tell them that many mums have experienced the same problems as them. Realising you’re not alone makes such a difference.

About me
I was one of those mums-to-be who experienced strange cravings throughout my pregnancy. I chomped through beetroot by the jarful, along with marmite (which I hated before) and anything with an orangey flavour. Satsumas, oranges, tangerines - I ate them by the basketful!
I think encouraging your child to sleep well is all about finding out what relaxes them. My first baby liked me to sing to him and he also loved listening to whale music. My second son hated me singing to him, but loved to have his comfort blanket near his face to help him sleep.
